I got my other mac back that they replaced the video card in yesterday
when I started it up it restarted several times and then it was ok.
same thing this morning.

I called Apple and they said I should get the Malwarebytes app
I downloaded it but it is not for 10.7.5, any suggestions?

I'm not done with Apple yet, this wasn't happening when I took it in.

I just shut down and started, not happening yet...

Hold their feet to the fire until they fix it. That is why you got AppleCare.

My Applecare ran out on that one!
But I will be contacting them. It's their fault

I do love my new iMac tho, 16gigoram, shoo wee its fast, can't imagine 32, well maybe I could
gonna transfer my pitstop etc.. over

Tracy

update on my iMac that had the recalled video card.
they replaced the video card and as soon as I turned it on, restart, restart, restart, etc..
I take it back and tell them the only problem I was having before they worked on it was the video card.
they installed El Capitan, 1st time I turn it on, restart, restart, restart, etc.. but even worst.
Now it won't boot in safe mode.
I take it back to Apple and tell them the story I get a manager involved, says they will do extensive testing.
Yesterday I get a call from Apple and they tell me I need a new Logic board, $776.00
I say look It hasn't worked since I took it in for a recalled part, maybe the Logic board went
bad from something you did, I said it wasn't fair.
guy puts me on hold a couple times, talks to a manager, and they are going to cover it! whew.
I advise anyone who takes anything to Apple, read what they put down on the paper work
the 1st tech had wrote down that it was restarting when I first brought it in, and it defo was not.
The guy thankfully believed me when I told him.
they still have it I hope it is ok, My new iMac is great tho :)

Or don't buy a Mac and just be able to replace parts on your own.  :P

I don't think any single part of my PC cost $750+

Hell, I've built whole computers for less than that.

Good on Apple for making it right. Tough I'd be pissed if I dropped off a PC and they upgraded it to 10.

yeah, that's when they told me it was a software issue, I learned a lot thru this.

When I get it back I will have El Capitan on both my iMacs which is good for me
I tend to stay with what I know

Acro DC is killing me tho

What is the issue with Acrobat DC? I think I've found most everything.

I went around with Apple over my iMac also and after much arguing they replaced my 2012 POS 27" iMac with a sweet 2013 27" iMac at no cost.

If I had to send this box out and it came back with anything but Snow Leopard exactly as it left I would raise holy hell.

Thanks but no thanks, leave it be.

It's isn't a gift if it takes down my production machine and causes me to spend $50k with Kodak.  ;D

I think Acro DC for the most part is learning it, but I think I have glitches also:
when I check for Ink Density in Output preview it's not working properly, sometimes not at all
see my screen shot, I set it to check for 100% just to show how it's now working
the whole thing should be lit up.

I'll have to post the screen shot later, anyone know how to set the screenshots to a lower res file?
On my new mac their coming out as .png and pretty high res

Farabomb

It's because of your nifty retina screen.  ;)

also Joe, does your tools look like this, all grey?

Joe

Quote from: Tracy on December 10, 2015, 09:54:00 AMalso Joe, does your tools look like this, all grey?

They are all gray except the one selected which is blue. I think that is by design and also my Pitstop ones do not turn blue when selected. I think that is a bug.

My Ink Density is working fine. One thing to try on yours is to change Sample Size from "Point Sample" to either "3 x 3" or "5 x 5" and see if it makes a difference. If not I think it might be related to the retina display. Seriously.
