This is a free upgrade for anybody using a PitStop 13/13 update 1.

To download the installer (if PitStop did not already offer to), in Acrobat go to the 'Help' menu.
Plugin Help > Enfocus PitStop Pro Help > Check for updates.

If you have a valid PitStop 13 license, you can just install this new version over your current installation.

Jooooeee!
Are you back on DC?
I can't seem to install DC without uninstalling XI I think?
how did you get both on there?

Joe

Yes I am back on DC ( because I refuse to let it beat me! ;D  )

Once you have XI installed and you are ready to install DC again BEFORE you click the button to Update make sure this little box is UNCHECKED.

yeah did that but then another screen pops up
You think i need to install DC and then XI?

Joe

Hmmm...that is weird. I just did it a couple of weeks ago. When I originally installed DC it removed XI and I did just go back and install XI after that and it worked fine. But who knows what kind of shenanigans Adobe has been up to since then.

I will uninstall XI and then put DC back on and then put XI back on

In the meantime tho my plate processor is smoken, so I must deal with that

Joe

I came into a broken 11x17 HP printer and had to setup a different printer for every computer in the building and then took a look at our Windows 7 CIP3 PC and lo and behold it had updated to Windows 10 over the long weekend. :death:

Is it Friday yet?

I am calling Adobe today. Wish me luck. Still on XI but crashing quite a bit.

Anything of any substantial importance, will report.

Joe

Are you using any other 3rd party plugins along with Pitstop?

You talking to me?

We have quite imposing plus 4...... but XI was crashing before we purchased it.

I am back to XI which crashed about 5 times a day as opposed to about 20 times a day with an older DC. (I'm losing track of DC's) I am dealing with the lesser of 2 evils here.

And..... the latest DC crashed like a drunken formula 1 driver.

Joe

Good luck with Adobe. I'm running both the Pitstop and Kodak plugins and while I wouldn't say it is crash free I'm not seeing anything like that with either XI or DC. Some days I don't get a crash at all.

DC seems a little better now, pitstop icons are very different
my output preview seems to be working with total area coverage ok

occasionally I have to restart acro because the images look weird
while using the total area coverage in output preview

so others are crashing also? good to know
