hi

I need to make this action for envelopes:

1) release the compound path / the compound path is the white stripe around the cutter guide (size 419.9995 mm x 489.9999 mm)
......after releasing this path there are two objects
2) the bigger one send to back
3) the smaller one use to make a mask for the whole pdf
    3a) select
    3b) send to front
    3c) select all
    3b) make a mask

or instead steps 2,3,4 to make the mask creating new path from the selection in step 1, the same way as "Offset path" command in Ilustrator (not by scaling tool)....it should have the same shape as the path in the step 3

There are a lot of diffrent cutter guides to use and the action would save a lot of work.

i hope it is clear enought to undertand

I think this one is just a little too much to try and automate.
Selecting the different objects after the path is released is an issue, I can't see a way to do that automatically.
What we also miss currently is an 'offset path' for the other options.
Sorry. But it's something to aim for, I will write a feature request for it

Thak you abc...

what I am missing.....for the feature request:

make offset path from a selection (as an action too)
selection by object order in a layer specified by name
release compound path as an action

For the record 'Release Compound Path' is available.
The Action is called 'Open Path'

"open path" doesnt work to release the compound path

another question...is there an action to "copy selection" and "paste" it at another page?....not only copy grabed grafics, but copy by previous selection

abc

Yep you can cut, copy and paste in Action Lists, that was released in PitStop 13 update 1, you can copy any selection, but you have to include the page number in the selection. If you check out any of the 13 update 1 webinars it should be clear.
If not let me know.
