Trust me, It wasn't. Popped every key off and cleaned and lubed everything.

At my old place, most of the white keyboards were a light brown/gray from all the dust and various other airborne debris...

The nice thing about the old white keyboards is you could throw them in the dishwasher to clean them and it worked fairly well. Just make sure it drains/drys good before you plug it in.
