It does still show the same measurements in the settings btw. I didn't think it would. It doesn't matter It works! Not sure about the Global Light feature. Never used it.

I can see the scaling effect being made but the distance is still showing .125 in the effects panel.

Having that pref checked and using global light, if I rotate an object the global light is honored. Does that answer the question?

edit: Actually, either way it honors global light.

I wish it would not honor global light, sometimes dezingers don't back things up correctly and I need to rotate a spread 180 degrees. Our SOP is to do it in the input PDF and make a note in the input folder for the next guy to see that he needs to do that. If there are no effects I'll usually do it in indy.

I see. I would just export those pages out as PDFs or EPS and place them again in the document and then rotate.

that doesn't gain us anything really over simply rotating the exported page in the pdf (in acrobat) and leaving it. If there are edits to the rotated side it would add another step.

Oh. We used Preps and if something like that came up we created an imposition specifically for that job and would just rotate our pages there.

That works too, until someone else imposes the job and doesn't have or doesn't check the mockup, best in our case to do everything as close to the source as possible, things have a way of creeping along unnoticed if not stopped up front.
