Ok... so the boss ask me "What is everyone charging for Proofs" and I relpy " What kind of proofs are you reffering to?" he replies " LoRes PDF Proofs and Epson Proofs" I then reply
" I don't know, but I'll find out" so I thought I'd try here first and if no luck I'll spend some undercover investigative phone time.

Thanks in advance.

LOOSERS!!!!!

We charge by the square foot for our Epson and large format proofs.

The laser proofs are on a sliding scale, but as an example, an 8.5x11 is $4.00 for one.

The PDF proofs are free...

Thanks,

for a cromalin we charge £70 (max size B2)

for a pdf we charge £30

and for a HP5000 (max size B1) we charge £35

the way its worked here is "your first proof is free" - which it isnt its just a stealth tax built in - and subsequent changes/proofs are billed extra.

Usually there are different prices for different clients.

Here in NYC for a proof like FinalProof or Kodak Approval letter size average is $150. I remember film based proofs were twice that. For inkjet based you may get $30-50 if you lucky. Making a PDF - $50, making loRes PDF - $25 (it still take time and someone has to do it).
