Well, I am presently a pollock with 2 broken fingers and it does hurt to type.  ::)
Speed doesn't kill, rapidly becoming stationary is the problem

I'd rather have stories told than be telling stories of what I could have done.

Quote from: Tracy on March 01, 2016, 02:26:53 PMi was on some old adobe forum, and someone had said "quit using pitstop" as the fix.
and then another guy said, "like we said, quit using pitstop"

That's like telling someone to stop breathing to feel better.  :rotf:

But the sticky thing has nothing to do with Pitstop. It happens even if Pitstop is not installed.

Blasphemy I say, blasphemy!

Tracy

I have moved on from CS6 and It's CC only for Indy etc..
CS6 does not work well with El Capitan.

Soo... I'm going to attempt getting used to Acro DC, pitstop on my Retina Display
ABC handed out an .aaui tool file, not sure if it's going to help any but
I can't figure out how to import the tool set into acro DC

Joe

Drag it onto the Acrobat DC application and drop it. It should ask if you want to import the custom tool into Acrobat DC.

Thanks Joe, that worked!
are you using the pallets to the right for pitstop?
This seems easier, after clicking the set you need
the tools are at the top with their names.

Joe

I guess I'm old fashioned. I added my most used Pitstop tools into the Acrobat toolbar at the top so I don't have to use the sidebar. I hate the sidebar.

Left to right those are:

Pitstop selection tool, Inspector, Global Change, Actions, View Page Boxes, Edit Page Boxes, Edit Design Layout, Select a Design Layout, and Color Management.

#23
I went and tried the open in low res view and now I see all the tools way better.

The first time I tried this it looked really bad, and also my output preview is working too now.
very strange because there wasn't an update or anything.

I'm on CC and DC now

wait a minute I think I did have an El Capitan update, hmmm
oh and fyi: opening in low res mode does not affect the viewing
of the pdf.

Joe

El Capitan still has some display issues that need fixed. In Prinergy if I scroll with the Magic Mouse it jumbles everything up. If I use the scroll bars everything looks ok. Sometimes in Acrobat DC my Output Preview will stop working. Like if I try to turn off the black separation it will not work. And every page looks like the page has been printed on an inkjet printer at 72 dpi. The fix is to quit Acrobat DC and relaunch it. Perfect it is not!

  Yes I suppose it is better

That preview you explained is exactly what I was seeing the first time I tried low res mode.

So I guess the problem could still be there along with the output preview issues.

I hope somebody solves some of these problems soon. I got 2 Retinas with El Capitan now.

Joe

Adobe could probably fix it in a matter of hours if they really wanted to. But they need to save some of the fixes to call 'new features' in the next version. :strangle:

Is there a way to change the interface of DC?
It's so bright

Joe

F1 key on your keyboard. :rotf:

Seriously though...you should have seen it on the first release. You needed sunglasses. That have toned it back since then.

Oh...short answer: No.
