matt: I dissagree. Iit is not smarter for me. There could be same setting for CMYK values and so on as it is in the action in the preflight settings. There could be a button "make it real black" in the navigator (with the preflight results) that should change the collor as the action and the automatical fix do and one doesnt need any collor menu to fix it. The issue is impure black so your aim is the real black one doesnt need more. For the case I shall need more, there could be the smarter and intelligent way of added action.

why isnt it implemented into preflight and one have to get action into preflight??.... that is preflight issue
.....the preflight check for impure CMYK doesnt work for any CMYK values without 100% black....  when the check finds impure CMYK and I want to fix it, the navigator offers me remap color menu and I have to add collor rule to replace the objects to real black. It seems to me very unconfortable. Yes, I can set to replace automatically, but I like overview and fix it by myself...

there is test file and test preflight.... I run the preflight and the added action finds only one objects and doesnt offer me a fix...  possible way but not good

is there posssibility to check rich black text/obejcts in preflight? I can use an action or global change to fix it, but it would be better to check it in PS server and fix it from preflight report.

we use agfa apogee.... but this is diffrent work.... we add a cutter guides into customers pdf and we are suppose to check and correct the data and send it back.... when the pdf come in the apogee workflow it is supposed to be checked and corrected

the situation is... this week Ive made two mystakes during my prepress work, I dint find overprint in attached pdf and the impure CMYK black /my previous topic/ in another data and let the data go on to the print....and you know the next steps... my manager went  ..... and than " you should be more careful!!!"    ........ we use pitstop server to preflight pdf .....so now I am triing to modify the preflight profile to reveal these issues

I can imagine the nighmare but overprint for black text is included in preflight menu and I think it is almost the same

I cant see any check for overprint dark objects in preflight profiles. The only way, I see, is to add the Overprint Dark Objects into changes in Extra Action lists. But it is no check but fix and there are no logs after applying.
I like the preflight profile process ...... run the profile .... show me errors .... let me see objects/whatever one by one.... offer me solutions ... fix it
But in this case, it is an action without logs and control

I added this action to a preflight. It is a pity there is no possibility to fix it in the navigator...

I have just found  "Check for Rich Black (K85%, TAC 280%)" in standard action list and this works!! I searched for check for Rich black in preflight and now I can use an action.

Yes, I have PitStop. I can change it. I need a pitstop preflight that would check these objects and show me a list of them in a report.
