Anyone else using this? It's pretty neat. I just needed two obscure fonts, and found them both in Google Fonts and downloaded the entire collection legally and free of charge. Noice!

wonderings

I had never heard of it and then googled it after seeing your post. Nice interface though I do not see anyway of actually downloading a font. Looks like it is for web use and not print unless I am missing something.

DigiCorn

First click "Select this font".
Then click on the black bar on the bottom right of the page
and select the down arrow to download.

You can select multiple fonts and download them all at once.

Yes they are made to use on websites and not really for print but you can't tell customers that.  :shoots_self:

Well, your customers swipe graphics off websites all the time and send them to printers, so of course, they can use web fonts for print.

Even if they are web fonts, they are probably better than half the fonts customers send in (or don't send in) with their files, so a valuable resource to know about.

I remember there's one called 'Roboto' or something similar that caused no end of problems.

Views ok on screen, but doesn't rip correctly. Prinergy I think in particular has a tech note about it.

Joe

Yes Prinergy does have a tech note about Roboto. We have to outline it to get it to process.

Even without Google fonts, having to outline certain fonts will always be an issue. We have an RC car part manufacturer that uses a font called Bitsumishi that I always have to outline too.
