Acrobat alternative

Since I am moving away from Adobe...at home.

I have replaced Lightroom with ON1 Photo Raw.
Replaced Photoshop with Affinity Photo.
Replaced Illustrator with Affinity Designer.
And replaced InDesign with Affinity Publisher.

Now I am looking at a Acrobat replacement.
Have old Acrobat 9 Pro but I am on the latest Mac OS.
So any recommendations for a Acrobat alternative?

I would stick with Acrobat Pro just because I have to have Pitstop and you can still buy Acrobat outright without a subscription. I've heard some people like Cute PDF Pro ($49.95). I suppose it would depend on what you are needing to do with a PDF. In my case I'd be leery of using anything but Acrobat.
