But in the JPG the url links to "nttp.." despite the text being CORRECT and using "http.." ... wtf?

I have never seen an image file with an embedded "clickable" link, very curious. Not sure how to fix it tho.

Any ideas/thoughts from you guys?
Are you sure the link in the PDF file correct? In the PDF the text can be correct while the actual link may not be. If you click the link in the PDF does it go to the correct place.

C'mon MAN!!
That was my first check (after i managed to find/kill a weird layer of shadows), then I re-exported the PDF (and the URL worked) and re-saved the JPG from the PDF which still failed, as "nttp" ...

However, I just heard from the sender "yeah, she made in CANVA, but it's still a PDF" ... I still haven't tried to take a Canva file to print (unlike you "lucky" guys), but all bets are off now.

Tracy

that is really weird even for Canva I think  ;D
can you retype the URL?
I would delete the URL, place pdf in indy and retype URL

Hey I had to ask...

I wonder if Acrobat is converting the link via a reverse OCR (changing text to image instead of image to text) and it is thinking the h is an n. That is just a wild guess and I have no proof. :P

Canva, Australia's most embarrassing export.

My go to with Canva files - Re postscript, drop into Indesign, re export to PDF.

I find that most times the trim box is not exactly the correct size when pdf comes from Canva. Yesterday I had 1 that was supposed to be A4 (210 x 297mm). Actually size was 209.362 x 296.412. Created all kinds of issues with line ups when imposed. Very thin white lines on spine because the file slots into the imposition layout at top left corner X and Y = 0.

Even laying it up in Indesign was problematic because there were curved graphics that crossed the spine on facing pages and they needed to be lined up.

Have I ever mentioned I hate Canva, it's almost a fucking virus on your computer.

If you don't like my comment, ignore it. If you don't know how to ignore it, message me and I will be only too happy to demonstrate how.

I was designing logos, posters and FB ads for my previous band, using Adobe products... my drummer suggested Canva to me as a free, easy way to do our branding, so I quit the band! You can say anything you want about my playing but I don't want to be told to use Canva!

Yeah huh! Totally did! The best part, his wife is a creative director at a large, local company and an Adobe user. I told him to ask her why I am quitting.  ;D There were other issues happening but that was the last straw.

I can understand how Canva could push one over the edge when the edge is close.

Why I love this place ... after first doing Joe's (check) suggestion, I did this!
But now I'll have to go the full monty and do it in Illustrator...

Still no dice!  :'(
