Anyone good at getting the exporting dielines feature to work in Rampage 10.6?
I made the Dielines a separate file, combined/ made necessary perfs and score colors to print with the dieline color, setting the dieline to the dieline trap setting, and viola, no dielines in the page folder.

It's in the Tools tab. And you direct it where to go. What do you need to know?
Rampage 11.1 • Preps 5.32 • Fuji Film Sabre P-9600 CTP Platesetter with inline FLP 1260 processor • Rampage •  ManRoland PECOM using CIP3 data • HP DesignJet 5500 42" 6/C • Epson Stylus Pro 9880 • Xerox Docucolor 8000 with Fiery • Mutoh ValueJet 1604 • Océ Arizona 250 GT • Océ Arizona 365 GT • Onyx Production House/THRIVE • ManRoland 700 5/c + coat and 2/3 perfect • and a coupla' Heidelbergs and other stuff

Have the art and die combined in one file, rip and in prescan, change the die color's trap basis to dieline and when it's done, go to Tools and Export Dieline and it will send it where you direct it to go.

Well, I was doing everything right, but, I did not re-register the single pages when setting the dieline color to the dielines trap setting. I tried just re-ripping the pages in Rampage. No Worky. When all else fails, re-registering files in the Rampage makes the pain go away.

WOOT!

Upgrade to v11 and all the freaky deaky goes away....almost.

I always forget that Rampage tells us that re-reipping files is not supported. Files have to be re-registered to work properly. It all makes the beer taste better when things get solved before shift change.

what kind of file do you get when you export a dieline from Rampage?
Murphy must have been in printing....

Stiv

Pre v11 you get a ps file in your RSI. (Ouch)

Apparently, v11 lets you choose where to stick it.
