At least it has a remote but still I find these devices lacking. Like streaming content from the local network to the TV. This will do it from an iOS or Android device but not stuff just sitting on the network. Deduct 5 (of 10) stars for that.

i know im an android media whore, but checkout allcast. youll stop fucking with all this roku crap. at least i did.

I still use my roku daily. One thing that does piss me off if it's lack of playback formats on the USB app.
Speed doesn't kill, rapidly becoming stationary is the problem

I'd rather have stories told than be telling stories of what I could have done.

My Roku 2 is on its last legs. It reboots randomly, and the wifi connection drops unexpectedly or is weak from time to time.

I ordered a new Roku 3 yesterday. I've found the .mkv format works best for properly sync'd playback, and the MyMedia app from PlayOn is my streaming app of choice.

Some .mkv's work well, some have no audio. Seems to happen most often with 1080p files but it's really a crapshoot.
