Acrobat 7.0.9 PDF into Quark

I keep getting error message from Quark 7.3.1 when trying to place a PDF.??


"The PDF file {XXX} cannot be imported because of an unknown error."  ????? :huh:

Downsave the PDF from whatever version to 1.4. Quark can handle that, but be careful, Quark is screwy with PDFs.

I tried everything but that, THANKS it worked. I should of known Quark was behind the times.

I've had so much crap from Quark and PDF's that anymore I just open PDF's in Acrobat and save as EPS and then replace it the Quark document.
