Mac OS Install 2024

I've been using and abusing it on an M2 Mini with 16gb ram at home. Two different 3D printing slicers, Safari, Discord, Affinity Photo 2, and a game of modded Minecraft Java all running at once. Drags a hair unless I shut down one of the slicers or Affinity, then it's fine.

No idea about prepress performance though, got a PC at work.

does anyone know of any issues with Sonoma?

mine runs great (24" iMac, M1 chip, 16gb RAM, Sonoma 14.6.1).

Most of my prepress work is through a VNC connection, even with that I thinks it's way faster than my previous Mac.

macOS Sequoia is being released a week from today. You will already be behind before you get Sonoma installed.

In a prepress environment you should always be one or two versions behind Apple's current version.
