That's nothing, there's lots of greasy things you consider good enough for you.

Quote from: Joe on August 07, 2018, 03:53:50 PMWell I've never tried flattening a PDF with comments...what does it do to them? Sure I could add some comments and flatten one to find out myself but I'm tired (and lazy).

Quote from: AaronH on August 06, 2018, 01:12:38 PMHey everyone, I've got a strange one. The customer somehow did most of their text in a PDF for a Remit Envelope as comments. I didn't realize it until they looked at the proof and said, "Hey there is text missing!" Is there a way to turn them into actual artwork or do I have to typeset it?
Thanks!
Quote from: ninjaPB_43 on June 22, 2018, 01:41:25 PMI see. Well that's just absolutely terrible. I mean, I "get it" in theory to protect the "artist's rights"... but clearly none of the people in the EU voting on it have ever stepped foot into the internet. My guess is a shit ton of site owners such as yourself - pull together to peacefully protest until a players association signs off on a collective bargaining agreement.
Just a wild hunch..
Also - there is no new or unique thought left.

Quote from: Joe on June 22, 2018, 12:57:13 PMWe have members here from the EU so if me, as a website owner, doesn't comply I can be fined.
Article 13 though is even worse as I would have to have filters in place to check every post against an online copyright database and if it came back with a copyright match the post would never get posted. So any post you make would not show up until it passed the test. Which theoretically could take hours.

Quote from: Joe on June 22, 2018, 12:10:22 PMThat is what they said about the EU GDPR that just went into effect May 25. I considered taking the forum down then but decided to ignore it and take my chances.
Quote from: metlife on June 19, 2018, 03:41:22 AMunfortunately we have not been able to get any answer. I did not receive files from the settings that I asked for, nor did I get a project file for the PReS Connect application so that I could play with the output settings of the PDF files myself. From what we were able to find out, the Client has some support from Germany who is trying to help Them in the matter of these PDF files. Just wait until all of Europe is involved in helping this Client
