Could someone please send me an installer or a ink to an installer for Acrobat Professional Professional - version 9
I have the number - just can not locate the installer or disk.

Yes - It started after the CC install on my machine.
But it is also happening on another MAC on the network that has not upgraded to CC.

Nope - it is the same old version of 6 that has been running for ages. All of a sudden it freaked out on all machines?

All of a sudden - all of our MACs - InDesign are acting incorrectly.
 - They do NOT report missing or modified links when opening a file.
 - They do NOT report missing fonts when opening a file.
(It reports both during export - luckily)
 - It is not handling profiles on photographs when importing - it is NOT honoring profiles.
Then ... once imported the links panel reports the link as having
"Document RGB" or "Document CMYK" - rather than reporting the photos "actual" profile.

Is this a worldwide occurrence?

I find that the artists do not know how the Pantone swatches work in the digital world
and
ALWAYS want the "C" swatch.

We convert the file to "C" at the time we are processing it in the PrePress.
We can always go back for the 1 in 500 jobs that need it.

When you select any part of the .pdp file in PitStop it will select the entire "picture" from PS an d you can not do anything.
But
if you do an "Edit Original" it will open in PS and be editable.
But ...
I, still, can not get the "Smart Object" to work.
I suppose, one could open the "Smart Object" from Photoshop into Illustrator
then
"Save as" a PDF from Illustrator
then
Place the .pdp into InDesign then place the Illy pdf overtop of it.

I don't know what would happen to links in the Illy file if they are not embedded - or supplied.

I know about getting vector files out of PS.

Yesterday I was playing around with trying to get vector "Smart Objects" out of PS.
I created the Smart Object and could open it through Photoshop in Illustrator - edit it and have it return to PS updated
but
when I saved as a Photoshop PDF (PDP)
all of my type retained the vectors but the smart object always ended up rasterized.

Does anyone know the procedure for smart objects retaining vectors out of PS?

turn the fonts to curves with PitStop

That was my question.
Even though we can view PDFs during stages of the workflow
we can not manually manipulate them with PitStop - correct?
Say - to change colors or fonts or add bleed - etc...
We go back to the desktop PitStop for that.

So ... what is the deal if I have PitStop Server licenses on my workflow Servers?
Do I need PitStop Pro on my desktop
or
can I do ALL the same stuff by somehow opening the PDF inside my workflow

you know you can open the Pages panel and option+drag to copy any page in Acrobat? Like, if it's hundreds of pages that's not too hard.

If you have many pages with intense graphics and have to wait for the preview to re-draw after every drop
you could be at it all day.
