is there posssibility to check rich black text/obejcts in preflight? I can use an action or global change to fix it, but it would be better to check it in PS server and fix it from preflight report.

I cant see any check for overprint dark objects in preflight profiles. The only way, I see, is to add the Overprint Dark Objects into changes in Extra Action lists. But it is no check but fix and there are no logs after applying.
I like the preflight profile process ...... run the profile .... show me errors .... let me see objects/whatever one by one.... offer me solutions ... fix it
But in this case, it is an action without logs and control

I need to make a preflight. It should warn of any text/text vectors that should have be 100% black but data is CMYK.
There is vectors in the attached example.

any idea how to make a step in an action for making a mask from trim box size??

It would be good to have an option in actions "make mask"--- "use box size" and rollup menu of boxes.

Ive made an action and there are rectangles to simulate the masking.

I need to make this action for envelopes:

1) release the compound path / the compound path is the white stripe around the cutter guide (size 419.9995 mm x 489.9999 mm)
......after releasing this path there are two objects
2) the bigger one send to back
3) the smaller one use to make a mask for the whole pdf
    3a) select
    3b) send to front
    3c) select all
    3b) make a mask

or instead steps 2,3,4 to make the mask creating new path from the selection in step 1, the same way as "Offset path" command in Ilustrator (not by scaling tool)....it should have the same shape as the path in the step 3

There are a lot of diffrent cutter guides to use and the action would save a lot of work.

1) I would like to set trim box to the selection (biggest path filled by the spot color) using a action, but "resize trim box to selection" action doesn´t work propetly...it does nothing...... no log, no failure log....... ctrl+alt+T work fine and I need it in an action.... I tried to select another object but the result stay the same

2) Is any possibility to release the big compound path as a step in an action?

Hi all.
 I am trying to make an action to remove any objects with particular spot color for attached pdf. I was recording selection by "select by attributes" tool and remove but there was no record.
I tried to make the action by select fill and stroke and remove than but it doesnt work.
Next issue is, there is a mask in the front and when I want to select the spot line I need to hide the mask or use wireframe view. I can select the line very easy by select object tool, the wireframe view helps, but it doesnt for the select by attributes tool, I have to hide the mask. Both tools should work the same way, I suppose.
Next issue. There are 3 paths and 10 images selected by "select by attributes" tool /selection.png/ choosing the spot line. I cant see any similarity for the images. It looks very strange and risky to me.

There is calibri font in the pdf. It is subset. I need to embed it.

Actions "select font by name" or "select subset font" and "embed font" doesnt work.

Global change "embed font" doesnt work.

Global change "remap font" to calibri from sytem works but the second step the change makes is subseting the font. 

Preflight fix shows me it is fixed (embed it) but the inspector shows me it is still subset.

The only way to embed it is manualy select the text line and change it per inspector (font picker).

I need to change any object on the page to magenta....  something like "Convert to color space" in globals, but this global cant change to any CMYK separation only to spot....... may be I didnt find it...

There is 01.pdf. When I select and copy the logo (selection.jpg) and I paste it into 02.pdf, then the logo disappears. In the frame view you can see it. It looks it is bug in PS12 couse in the PS11 it works fine. Is it a bug?

i was testing the "Change objects that are close to the page edge" action and I found a strange acting..... i have PS11 and acro 11 PC

first is that this action can change only objects that havent defined stroke...dont know if the 12 solve this dissadvantage.... I cant use it for the 02.pdf it has insufficient results

next is when i try the action at pdf 01 it change objects unlogicaly....the objects have bleeds and the action change them...."close objects" set with the same setting in profile doesnt log/error a problem....

 . any explanation??

im a bit puzzled still.....of the eyedropper.....the differences between the setting "ink coverage " and "basic object"

i ve made this pdf in indesign....output "dot gain 15%"... and acro print view and Pitstop eyedropper are keeping show me different results.... and there are not many of them 50% of black as it suposed to be....

.....as you can see there the bleedbox is smaller than trimbox......there is no bleeds, couse it is A4......i cant set the preflight to detect this error.........and can not switch off the "page size" detection......and where to set the detection "hey man the bleedbox is smaller than trim" ?

there is a pdf from a studio. Made in Indy CS5. Exported in 1.4 PDF compatibility..........and due to using effects some of the texts was interpreted wrong way by our CREO rip.......the wrong text can be easily detect as "clipping textline".....

so the question is:......can be the detection add into a preflight for the whole document??..............I ve not find any possibility to detect that globally......

ive got a attached test.pdf and i need to make bleeds of grey rectangles. There are clipping pathes that are croping the rectangels. If I deleted them manualy the bleeds will be unmasked. So why doesnt work the attached "remove objects biger than 379 mm" action? Ive tried release the path and delete them but it influents another objects that are smaler than 379 ( "release masks and delete" action) .

Next way is add new rectangels in backround as I used as final.

Any idea?

I need to add an objects only on the pages where is exact text phrase. For example, pdf has 250 pages and pitstop should add black rectangle on pages where is text phrase "basic".

I have new MAC, but in the old MAC we forgot all my actions, globals and so on. Problem is that Acro and PSP has no registration allready on the old MAC. Is there possibility to just copy as files that from one location to another?

in the test.pdf there are bitmaps in cmyk and nchannel and after conversion to gray i cant get 0% gray.
tried to change profiles in preferences but any big change.

do i need better profile?

I have simple quickrun:
1) Action (resize Mediabox /new rectangle upper right 210mmx297mm/, remove all other boxes)
2) Globalchange (center page contents)

if I use this quickrun, result: the media is 297mm lenght......if I use the action and than the globalchange separately it works fine

 
dont know where is the mystake
