I have some black boxes they are not perfectly square
and you can see a slight jaggedy in illy
proof shows it too.
it's minimal but the custy doesn't like it.
I don't know of any way of fixing this

Joe

Make them straight. Any line that in not perfectly straight vertically or horizontally is going to have some jaggies.

Grab a control point, hold down the shift key and move it. Should snap straight.

I'll try it! they are rotated and not square boxes
let you know.
oh and all kinds of "stuff" under and over

Tracy

It's not really a box it's a path
moving a point changes the shape of the "box"
I have removed all the images
here is the lines

This is where you explain to the customer that the screen DOES NOT reflect final output. The "jagged lines" will disappear when rendered at 2400 DPI.

Explain to the customer? That, my friend, is dangerously close to educating the customer. You're out of your element, just tell her how to fix the damn thing.

As long as they are not perfectly straight they are going to look that way. But as DCS said, they shouldn't notice them at 2400 dpi unless they are really picky.

The CSR or Sales-Puke by proxy. STFU. I have to talk to customers all the time. Usually to request simple things, like you know... the JOB!

so the Jaggedy lines showed up on the plates this morning
went into the illy file (lots of clipping paths etc.)
I removed the top image (transparent psd)
placed it in indy with the illy file, flattened the pdf
placed back in indy and that fixed it
skipping 1 of these steps would not work.

anyone know why this is? or what else I could of done?
sounds simple but it actually took me awhile to get thru this.

t-pat

just one of the mysteries of how dezingers can fuck up an illy file. I've got a pile of 'em here, nobody knows how it happened..
