This works only necessarily for 8 pdf pages,

but if I have 2 pages, I cant place head 2 head.

Tracy

did you see that you have saddle stitch selected at the top?
You may want to see what other settings you have in that drop down,
you need to have a multiple of 4 for saddle stitch.
What program is it?

This is a plugin for Xitron Navigator, called Simple Imposition.

Tracy

Did you try selecting something else besides Saddle stitch?

I had a boss years back who thought everything was 'Simple Imposition'.

I've never seen the software you are talking so there is no way I can be sure of that you can. But I can't imagine an imposition software that can't do it though. It's pretty basic stuff.

I think in the time we're discussed it, you could export your pages out as pdf and impose the thing yourself.
Take a sheet of paper, make a folded up dummy of the project, write the page numbers of F&B on the folded up sheet, unfold and there you go. I'm not trying to be blunt or sarcastic, but making a mockup of the project is Design 101.

Ummm, when was the last time you got a booked pagination dummy with a job? Most of my customers won't even hit print on their file to check if it backs up correctly.

Well that 10 page 5.5 x 8.5 booklet they created in Excel looks real good from the laser printer!
Umm, sir, ma'am, where would you like me to place the 2 blank pages to make this impose correctly?
Oh wait, ask the CSR!

You would figure with google they could look up the term divisible by 4.

I'm quite sure nobody actually listens to prepress, they just smile and nod.

Like the one customer that was here on a saturday rush. They thought tearing out a page in the proof and not telling anyone would magically change the page count.
