Could anyone walk me through the steps to re-install our user passwords for our MACs to connect properly to the Printready Server.
We updated several MACs (intel+ppc) to Leopard this week.
We got everything going just fine with all of our servers and networks
except
we,now, all need to log into the Printready Server
with Heidelberg's default "ptuser".
I don't think it is so sweet having a number of folks logged in as the same user like that.
Before - we were all independent users with differing passwords.

I thought I remembered to do it through terminal and Sudo Pico
but that seems to just be the list of users.

Thanks all,
MSD

I think you are confusing Printready client users with Network users.

Your Printready client users didn't change if you upgraded your client Mac's.
It is your setup on mac stations that changed.
Depending on what was before, DHCP or static network.
If you were dealing with terminal and pico, than there is a great chance you are using static IP setup with hosts file.

Pick hosts file from Printready server and see all the IP mappings and replicate on your Macs.

You can always call Heidelberg to help.

I don't think so. The network linking is fine.
It is just now that The PrintReady server is all of a sudden asking for a password
and is not accepting our usernames and password.

We are static and our IP addresses have not changed.

Just checking what could have been a quick solution here.

Quick solution would be to use ptuser/ptuser for everybody instead of their user names.
This is for network connection only, for client they put in their user names and off you go.

I hope this helps.
