Very true  :old:
I think I'm going back to using 5.5 and only use CC if I need to.
Just too frustrating.

It is currently my biggest wish that CC is a massive failure for Abode.

Quote from: Sabrina The Turd Polisher on September 12, 2013, 10:55:00 AMThe redraw speed in Indy CS7 is making me want to kill people. I can type faster than it can draw, moving the page around with the hand tool makes me feel so 1994.
I've fiddled with the preferences to no avail. How 'bout  you peeps?

Boss is having same problem too with her MacPro. We're thinking it may be our OS? (snowkitty)

I'm finding that if I leave the apps open they get progressively slower throughout the day. I never noticed that issue before. I thought this was supposed to be all 64 bit and fast as snot. It's not.

lol

I've noticed for years that Illustrator in particular ends up *not responding* every time a Mac goes to sleep, and seems to crash more than any other Abode app.

Adobe apps do not crash. That is called a forced refresh.

Quote from: Joe on September 12, 2013, 11:28:55 AMThe fact you are using SL means the hardware isn't that new. Which I would guess that is the issue. Even on the Mac Pro.
I didn't think you even install CC on a machine running 10.6 - hence why one of our ancient MacPros now has a third HD installed with 10.7 - just to run CC files when they appear.
A little diddie 'bout black 'n cyan...two reflective colors doin' the best they can.

10.6.8 and above - that be the specs that were given to us.
Makes me wonder if their specs have changed over time?

Fuck them.

You can still use CS for production, it will do everything you need it to do.

We don't really accept native INDDs anyway. Always fucking problems. It's down to PDFs now, and for creating stuff in-house CS will do everything you need it to do.

The system requirements for Illy, ID, and Acrobat are 10.6.8. Photoshop shows system requirements as 10.7 or 10.8.

The boss doesn't want to deny any file format. Also doesn't want to pay for CC.  :homer:
