Is anyone proofing jobs to a color copier or color laser printer? We are looking to try this for proofing certain types of jobs (11x17 folded to 8.5x11 books would be a common example) needing a digital dylux (not contract color). The goal is to reduce cost and produce the proof faster.

If you are doing this, here are some questions:

1. Which make/model of printer/copier are you using?
2. What software or workflow system are you using to send the data to it?
3. How do you handle perfecting jobs on this device?
4. Up to what size of paper does the printer/copier handle?
5. What is the maximum image area of the paper?

Thank you!

Although CS4 is right around the corner, I found a solution to the annoying CS3 error:

Application has moved.  Some settings need repaired.

...only to see that error appear each time you open a CS3 application (assuming you moved the application from its original installed location).

Check out reply #63 by Steve Gedikian here:

All in all, this may not be very useful to most people but for those of you who use CS2 and CS3 on the same machine or if you like to organize your software beyond how it's originally installed, I thought I would share it :-)

Quark Xpress / Guide Removal Script?
January 15, 2008, 07:55:48 AM
Hi Forum,

I am looking for an AppleScript that will remove all guides from all pages.  So far, all my Googling has turned up one big goose egg.  Anyone have a script that does this or know what the command(s) would be do this (I am not a programmer)?

Many thanks,
Jon :-)
