KAAS (Kwikee Auto Advertising Service) used to provide free, great vector art of new vehicles and vehicle logos. They got paid by the manufacturers so the quality had to be high. They sort of disappeared within MultiAd, which does high quality vector and raster grocery images and logos. You can get an account for free, but sometimes it's hard to find what you're looking for.

"There's been a lot of research recently on how hard it is to dislodge an impression once it's been implanted in someone's mind. (This is why political attack ads don't have to be true to be effective. The other side can point out their inaccuracies, but the voter's mind privileges the memory of the original accusation, which was juicier than any counterargument ever could be.)"
