Anybody have a solution or seen this problem before?  XMF client runs smooth and fine except when trying to check the imported PDF for document size/bleeds etc.  When clicked it opens the file in 3D viewer mode.  I have narrowed it down to a single Mac problem as other machine here are running fine.  I have done the usual rebuild permission and verified disks etc. but cant seem to fix it.

Anyone got a clue or had this happen?

I have seen this happen around here.  If in Suitcase go to the file menu, and select, clear the font cache. Quit all running programs before doing it.

Adobe Acrobat / Re: Acro X vs. Acro 9

Thanks for the heads up. I will keep an eye out for abnormalities.

Don't mention Trims to me today.  Asked a Senior Deziner (all of 23yo) today to re-supply a job with trims and bleed.   . . . why do i need to do that? she says . . "insert sound of crickets chirping in background and cogs in her small brain trying to work" . . . they just get cut off anyway! :ohno:

My 2 cents worth about XMF PDFs.  1 is when you have a PMS in the job and convert it to Process you still get a blank PMS sep in the PDF (WTF!) and No.2 is that you cant make a PDF of just a Spot/PMS/Knife without including the Process Seps.  Come on Fuji can't I just export a knife out of XMF without all the Process things that I don't need.

Fujifilm XMF / XMF Remote
January 31, 2012, 11:32:36 PM
G'Day crew, just wanting see if anyone out there is using XMF Remote?  I just seen the demo and must say that I'm pretty impressed with the functionality of it all. It's  something that our shop does not need now. But with a view to adapting new strategies in an ever changing market It could be a big draw card for us.  So basically just wanted to see what people who are using it think?  Has it created more problems or solved more problems? Take you time in answering, as this is my last day of shift and have the next 4 off. (drinking, fishing, surfing, camping on Stradbroke Island where Phone/Net coverage is Crap at the best of times).  So see you next Monday, look forward to the replies.  :surfer:

How about trying to get info on the job and in the Open with part select the version you want.  Or if it is not listed choose other and direct it to V9.

I have only run it around here on 1 Mac and had similar problems. It also crashed Pitstop regularly. So far I still prefer to use 9 Pro. So cant be of much help.

Also if your using multiple exchange mailboxes within the company/s. No need to redo for each exchange. Just as simple as drag and drop.

Fujifilm XMF / Re: issues with the 4.1 upgrade?
December 04, 2011, 09:26:01 PM
Hi Frailer,  thanks for the reply, and sorry for the delay in my reply, just had my 4 days off, but back to the grind now.  Yes, I have logged it with our Fuji guys and they are working to resolve the problem.  It is not stopping us from working,  just a little annoying. If anything else pops up or if I find the solution, I will let you know.
Cheers

Fujifilm XMF / issues with the 4.1 upgrade?
November 29, 2011, 09:29:42 PM
1st time posters here with a quick questions.  Has anybody had any issues with the 4.1 upgrade.  I currently have some strange happening with the "State" of jobs in XMF not updating.  Where a job was ripped as normal, it would show 67% before being plated.  Now it is showing 50% and when the job is plated/exposed it does not show the job as "complete" in the status menu but instead keeps it as "Held before output".  Anybody else seeing this problem.  Thanks in advance for any help/advice provided.

Cheers
