Yes ugh can I do it again when it's done?

Joe

You can do it now. No need to wait. Power off. Boot back into your USB drive. Start Disk Utility. Initialize internal hard drive. Quit disk utility. Install Big Sur to internal hard drive.

the extended journaled isn't an option it says apfs

Tracy

ok I guess the apfs is ok I erased and installing, it erased pretty fast is that normal?
i clicked erase but the warning didn't come up, I think it did erase tho

Joe

Yeah it doesn't take long to delete and APFS is the correct one to use. I think it won't let you use anything else. Should be good now.

I don't think it matters. Once you import the apps, files, user account, and computer settings from your Time Machine backup I think it will just continue on like nothing happened.

so is there any fix to the printers not working
or do I need to reload the printers?

Joe

Usually they work. If not re-install. The only issue might be the printers may be too old to have Big Sur drivers. I had a couple like that and I installed either Mojave or Catalina drivers and mine worked. Your mileage may vary.
