The first computer I ever used running Mac OS 7.6 was a Star Max clone.

Man, those clones didn't last too long before Apple pulled the rug out from under them.

I used a Quadra 700 for a while, they even had them in the control room of the first Jurassic Park movie!

the 600 i used was excellent.

i think the other was a 9600 not a 900, had a big ol monitor and a desktop drumscanner linked  to it

shortly after joining this place the main guy left - all was a panic and the other 2 desighners asked me to make the scanner work - so there's me - little oik with no clue (now a bigger oik with no clue), top of the range mac with a desktop a3 drumscanner to figure out - oh - and a manual the size of texas!!!!!

i didnt figure it in time and they had to sell it for funds. then they went bust and that was that.

you are missing Tiger and Leopard screen shots. I would post Leopard but I don't want trouble from Apple.

Yep, my first Mac-type was a clone too, a PowerComputing PowerTower. I bought it the week Apple announced they were not allowing 3rd party hardware guys to use the Mac OS any longer. I actually had it in the house (And running) up until about 4 months ago. Finally removed the HD and carted it off to a computer recycling fair.  :(
A little diddie 'bout black 'n cyan...two reflective colors doin' the best they can.

the best thing I like from Leopard is cover flow views (amazing on big screen) and time machine. New email templates are also cool.

Dock is ugly and effin' wrong, transparent menu bar is total BS, cut the crap apple and give us functionality and a coherent interface. Apple is  not even obeying it's own HIG that it hasn't bothered updating in years

http://developer.apple.com/documentation/UserExperience/Conceptual/OSXHIGuidelines/

Apple really should start looking here

Anyone who cares about interface should take a look or read the blog
