Didn't they do something like that with Acrobat 9, as well? I was thinking that they released an Acrobat update, then about 6 months or a year later a "new" version of CS + the previous Acrobat version (with the standard allotment of bug fixes that always appear shortly after the "final" version of any software is released.

Joe

Yes. CS3 shipped with Acrobat 8. Then they released Acrobat 9 by itself and later included Acrobat 9 as part of CS3.3. Then CS4 and CS5 both shipped with Acrobat 9. That is why I say that Acrobat X will ship with CS5.3...after they milk the early adopters for the Acrobat X upgrade for $200 a pop.

I installed my new copy of Acrobat X today. Still poking around to find things. It uses a side pane for all the tools now instead of the toolbar at the top.

Do you still only see the toolbar when you have a PDF open (toolbar tied to each PDF)? I remember when you had the toolbar without any PDFs open. Acrobat 7 I believe. Good Times.

the toolbar is a little naked, compared to the previous versions, but you can load items into it, in a weird way.

The relentless release cycle is getting me down. Is it just old age?   :undecided:  Hell, I just got Acro 9 Pro/PSP 10 running, now this.

Oh, BTW Tracy...you're getting a kick in those posts. Keep it up.   :cheesy:
