QuoteMac Pro is a game-changing combination of Apple silicon performance and PCIe expansion for specialized workflows. And every configuration comes with the incredible new M2 Ultra — our most powerful and capable chip ever.
From $583.25/mo. for 12 mo. or $6999*
oh they got 'em alright....

I just had to replace my Mac at home. I had the 27 inch (bought it new in November 2010), didn't want to do the 24, but didn't really have a choice.

Got the 24", and it's waaaaayy better than the 27". I like it and so does my wife.
Don't miss the extra large screen, works great, super fast, SSD drive.

Happy camper

open up the Interactive window (Object menu, scroll down to Interactive) and select "Convert to Object", that will remove the interactive part and make it a regular text box.

hopefully

looks like something that was copied from 1 app to another.
Like the text may be in an Illy file, select, copy, paste into Indesign, result you get weird text boxes

not sure tho, just a guess because I've seen similar objects.

I believe it's only on a PC, since the Mac version hasn't been updated since dinosaurs roamed the earth.

sounds like someone changed the old IP address (may have done it so they could connect to see if everything was working), do you know what it was originally so you can check to see?

Adobe Acrobat / Re: Reducing pdf size
August 31, 2023, 12:23:08 PM
If it were me, since this if for the web, I would rasterize any pages with transparency, downsample and make them rgb. Keep all fonts as live, not outlined (a lot of vector objects will make the file larger, it's all about the nodes).

Nobody will be able to tell the difference between the original hi-res and the rasterized version on the internet.

YMMV

see, I forgot about the stupid tertiary.

:-[

I know it was a whole rack of stuff, lot's of blinky lights.

When Quad took over, they replaced it all with a really nice VM.
In one rack, it took up maybe less than 2 foot of space.
When I left, they only had 4 racks left, 3 of those were switches and patch panels.

coulda swore Williamson bought their own. They did make us buy the primary and secondary servers along with some other crap. I can't remember, it was a very long time ago. I could be wrong.

did I mention that as of this month I've been printing now 50 years...  I have forgotten sooooo much.

It was my understanding that they would buy it for you (with a mark-up) or you could buy one as long as it met the specs they required.

We bought all of our servers and then they would do the install.

Your paying for software support, not the Server machine support, that would come from whoever you buy the server from.

I have gotten just about all of my servers from Proactive.
Top notch people, very helpful and they know their shit.
