i was told at a seybold conference that it had been killed but wasnt "dead yet" because they wanted to support only one os.

i agree with stephen beals. RGB is better to work in but everything eventually ends up cmyk obviously.

just get pdf color convert from callas. makes it much easier.

If you're dealing with big pdfs or complex ones then Pitstop Neo is the way to go. Its much faster than Pitstop and Acrobat.

I was able to save about 5MB for the batch using Apago PDF Shrink. I kept them at 96 dpi, 200dpi for monochrome, medium JPEG quality. Still a usable/readible for screen use. The PDF shrink can take the pdf direct so you dont have to futs with making post script and then distilling it. the whole thing took about 7 minutes or so. and the program is like $35 or something dirt cheap.

no idea. i dont think that acro can shrink page sizes. i think you can only go bigger with its crop tool.
