CTP - CTF / Re: Trendsetter or Screen?
April 09, 2015, 09:17:59 PM
Hi,
We have worked with 2 Screen Platerites and changed after 10 years of operation by another 2 brand new Platerites. Seems to be more efficient than Trendsetter because their laser diodes and compact vacuum engine.

Platerites and Trendys are workhorses but take into account the availability of tech support and spare parts. If you think to work with only one ctp, you must to take this advice. There is no eternal ctp.

If ctps are used, just check dot consistence, sharp and hard, good register and no misterious noise when working. Clean and robust as the car of your dreams.

Hope this help.

General Prepress / Re: Rich black without cyan
March 28, 2015, 12:45:05 PM
Hello guys.

Sorry for stop your beer party. Gig0 is right, you can put a skintone in your rich black and take the black density to 1.8-2 (Status T). Maybe you can use a blueish black ink to compensate.

...and yes, I'm still alive and powered by the one that create all the things you see and take care of you and your family.

General Prepress / Re: Our days numbered?

Hello Abdul! Nice to meet you.

Think about a prepress hub... Presses are going out while digital printing is getting fresh air to print industry.

Hardware is changing, not the software. Keep seeking the way to prepare files to different media and you'll be happy for next 10 years. Just keep in mind what I tell you.

Packaging would be the last survivor in offset printing industry.

I'm working hard to keep ahead in this industry and keeping a good level of knowledge to get a good salary, but I heard a voice telling me that is a good idea to start a enchiladas and tacos restaurant. The food is a long-long-time industry, people will eat forever. Just kidding.

Hello guys!

Just to know about your experience when working with Kodak Proofing Software. I'm planning to migrate to another workflow server and proofing RIP so it would really help your comments about it.

Thanks in advance.

CTP - CTF / Trendsetter with Azura TS
September 22, 2010, 11:38:13 AM
Hello guys!

We currently use Azura TS plates but we want to change one of our two CTP. I've seen that Trendsetter with Quantum head is a robust solution but, what about when exposing Azura plates? Do you have any experience working at this way?

What about when exposing Staccato in Azura?

Any comments would be very appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

About proofing, my proof of life is that god has protected me all the time... and he let me write this humble words.

About proofing systems, just go APPE (worklow+rip) and you´ll be happy.

I´m go to sleep. Good night to all bro´s!

Yes, It´s hard to say that finally is happening.

Hello Gnub! The violence in Ciudad Juarez is harder because the multiple gangs residing there. Some people from Ciudad Juarez is migrating to different cities, one of them is ours. In the past, our city enjoyed of the best security in the country but now everybody here see that our cops where corrupted by the mafia. It´s sad to watch in the news how the cops wanted to fight the army.

The mexican army is doing a great job facing the mafia in this city(I saw it).  I don´t know what the people in other countries is talking about the mexicans, but there are people here that is working so hard to protect us. There are good mexicans too and they´re not in the news or in tv shows. I don´t trust in tv.

"The Monitor" from McAllen, Tx. Monterrey and Texas has a closely relation. In the past, Texas was part of the territory of Monterrey (the land of El Nuevo Reino de León, The New Lion Kingdom, a spanish territory). Now they´re in different countries divided by a river (and a migration system).

Monterrey is a city that grew up so fast and was the perfect model to be a "first-class" city, but our education as society not. Corruption and violence is its result. I calculated this situation in the past so that´s why I was searching for job in USA or Canada with no luck.

Sorry for talking about a different theme.

Thanks guys. I have to say that you're my brothers. I have learned from all of you.

In proofing, the important thing is to get consistence in your output devices, I mean, color, txts, effects, image quality, etc. All the elements in the right place, as must to be. No matter the way you do it.

Guys, it's time to believe in God. No matter the good you think you are.Difficult days are comming to my city.

Gutten nacht!

Oh guys! Long, long and so looooong time no see you!

Things are turning bad here in Monterrey (Mx.) but god is my bodyguard.

Hello Beer! Your lovely kitty never stops shooting. Send me some kitties to Mty. we need that courage to face the violence.

I´m sending Trueflow Tiff`s to Efi Colorproof (CMYK, of course) but I´m planning to change my Trueflow for another workflow that supports APPE. I suggest to make proofs using the same workflow system or workflow+Rip using the same interpreter or workflow+colormanaged output.

Bafana bafana!

Au revoir!
