Items Wanted / Re: Really Old Macs?

Quote from: kermit on September 12, 2007, 08:37:39 AMNo. Thanx Chillbear. I have limited space here. I'll wait till I find free Color Classic.
I just remembered, I bought a couple of classic suitcases at Salvation Army for like $1 USD each and noticed some REALLY OLD computers there, obviously it's hit and miss, but 1 of them was a pre-FX, like an SE or something, worth a look maybe.

General Prepress / Re: Checking UPC codes

Quick question about Barcode Pro. We have a customer using it and the codes are constantly failing or read poorly on our reader (our codes from Artpro are always  A's).  The codes in question have oddly spaced bars as compared to ours, by that I mean they are not consistantly bigger or smaller than ours they just seem random. Also the numbers at the bottom are not good quality text zooming up reveals an almost simplified path to the text.

I guess my question is what should I be telling my customer to look for so I can get good UPC's from them?

That's new to me, barcode pro user for years now, are they saving .eps from BCP or are they doing something else in Illustrator after?
Save as .eps should (does for me) achieve quality vector art that works consistantly.

hey you misspelled Chargers, it's "Go Chargers"

If you're a Chargers fan I feel for you. Norv Turner was our coach (the Skins) for 7 long miserable years. I met the guy, very friendly, but he doesn't seem to motivate players well because I think he's too laid back unfortunately. In the long run some players take advantage of him I think.
Yep, a lot of talk regarding that type of thing... Still a good team right now IMO, we'll see if he can do better here!

NOTE to Prinergy users that use Preps as floating - launched through Workshop:
To make marks NOT move with creep (shingle) here's how:
1) Use Text edit to open file AraxiPreps/Profiles/PrepsPrinergy/PrepsPrinergy.cfg
2) Find type "ShingleCropMarks: YES" and change YES to "NO"
3) Save and close config file.

Note, If you run Preps from the desktop, you do the same change to the Preps.cfg file and need to do it on each workstation....I think.
