Stripping PDF Metadata..

I was making a funny about the thread comment, before your post. They were postulating on thread ethics and I used a line from One Night in Bangkok as a metaphor. Where's Born? ...he gets my music dork jokes. :-[

I don't think I have ever had a problem with metadata

It doesn't cause problems for prepress. But for legal discovery you may well want to strip all metadata out to anonymize the document(s). Or conversely, you may want to embed rich metadata for a DAM system.
