Freeze on CS3 PDFs

Tried using customer supplied PDFs showing as InDes CS3 created, as 'Source Documents'. ...Greyed print progress panel>Beach Ball>Dyna lock-up>Force Quit.
Open and Save As in Acrobat 7. Went through OK. Guess it's that old difference between the source files and the processing app version.
Dyna v5 is a $$ upgrade, so can't see us going there anytime soon. Trouble is, gotta watch transparency on the save-down.

Any other Dyna users struck this at all?
