As it turns out, I just did the simple save at reduced file size and printed a copy and it looked fine, albeit a little lighter. We have a saying around here: Close/Good enough for Government work.

Well it does allow us to go to mac OS 13 so that is an "upgrade" technically.
depending what version you're at, you might spend the money on an actual need.
