Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a night. But set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

QuoteQuarkXPress 9 will now give designers the power to design for and publish to digital devices in a variety of formats, while also offering them even more control over the execution of their creative visions.

It's been 3 or so years since QXP 8 came out... that's not too bad. They've had several LARGE updaters, but none were at a cost. I don't know, I'm just not ready to commit to a full-on Quark bash just yet.

I watched 2 minutes 7 seconds of it and had to stop. I have a feeling those two dudes rehearsed that presentation 87 times because they cracked up laughing the first 86 times.

The British guy pronounces 'quark' in a way that sounds like 'crock'. Works for me.

As far as I can see still no native support for exporting PDF's from files with imported transparent objects. But you can now export to the iPad! Just another nail in the Print Shop coffin.

Aussies pronounce it like the sound when Doc says, say: "AH!"  "Farck"  Our crows make that sound in flight. A famous comic and show host here in the 60s, Graham Kennedy, was banned for saying that live on TV, for several weeks. One of our ex-Prime Ministers audibly said "farcking" on a doorstopper TV mic last night.

I hope that's enlightened you on Q9.

Speed doesn't kill, rapidly becoming stationary is the problem

I'd rather have stories told than be telling stories of what I could have done.

It looks like a trapezoidal rhombus. Maybe when you open it there's a neverending amount boxes inside...like infinity...a deep, black hole.
