This just happened the other day.....interesting noise it made  :puke2:

But alas, placed the tail clamps back on and (knock on much wood) away she runs.

Any good pics/stories?

oh that's a nasty one there Santa!

Some of the ones we pull out of our Lotems are worse than that, all twisted and tore, sadly no pics.

We use to have a film setter from Esko that would throw off a 40 inch piece of film and it would sound like a bomb exploded and there would be very tiny bits of film all inside the setter.
Pretty gnarly, even worse if you were in the darkroom when it happened, you would wet yourself, FFS.

Here with the PlateRite Screen, and previously with the Palladio, I haven't seen a plate jam in ages. Have to go all the way back to '03 when we had a Lotem. I hate Lotems. Guaranteed that thing would bust once per night.

I wish I still had this one plate. I hung it on the wall and titled it "Chaos of Modern Society Part 1". It was burnt, folded and just crunched. I took it out to the pressman and asked if he could salvage it.

This is probably only the second jam in 5 + years  (more wood knocking), but man the noise it made.........  I was expecting a "Hurt Locker" effect once I opened the panels but my girl is a touch one ;-).  She's purring along.

Farabomb

I wasn't there but the mat let loose on the dessert cat when the "techs" were installing our new one. Was told it sounded like a bomb went off.

I think copier paper jams should be included here. I've fought with copiers that have produced the most ornate, unique accordian folds, whimsically dusted with bright hues of unfused toner powder. I call it "Xerox Origami".

Don't get me started and those *%#$#(*(&@ stupid copiers. If you so much as look at it wrong it turns into an accordion factory. And I'm just talking about the copier for making copies of office documents. Not the "digital press".

I love when the plate jams in the processor and the chemistry dissolves the aluminum plate 'cause there isn't anyone around that can hear the clunking/grinding noises.

I'm afraid to show you Office Space, it will change you. I quit a job because of it many years ago. Very powerful movie.
