I'm a big fan of bbedit (I miss text wrangler though).

But sometimes you want that excel view of the data. So I use quicklook csv from git hub.

This way finder previews the as a table. Can't edit. Just a handy reference.

Still using TextWrangler on my Mac. It's supposed to not be compatible with High Sierra, but it's still working for me. I imagine that BBEdit that they're selling instead, has that preference too where you can see all of the invisible characters. Sometimes I will get mail files too from our mail department, which will have a couple extra returns like this, which produces extra pages for me:

BBEdit has a free version that replaced TextWrangler. Just download it and don't do the suggested upgrade.
