hello peeps

have been asked to look into web based pdf approval systems - any ideas anyone?

we don't have funds for insite (kodak) and I think webdav and java based systems may cause issues with end users (in this case photographers)

jobs to be approved are foiling positionals. software needs to be simple, able to have comments/annotations, some form of "yes this is approved" or "wtf you screwed it up" button

and any ideas on cost

it does NOT need to be complex at all - the simpler the better (very much like me actually)

thanks all

See if http://www.proofitonline.com/does the job for you. I have not used them, but saw them at a tradeshow in a past.

Another option is

http://www.acrobat.com

Not sure of their pricing options but your people will love they can still do it in Adobe.

Edit: They have the free version and a Premium option.

Flo Media Publisher can create a Flash based book where you can add comments for approvals or other annotations.

that flo media matt - how much, roughly, can i expect to cough up for that? the seperation thingy looks interesting - i could actually use the book thing too for reversed printed stuff we do

the acrobat.com is interesting too - gonna dig into that a bit more

thanks again

Flo Media Viewer is 3,000 Euros. If you want to make PDF corrections, color conversions, preflighting, etc. then you have to have a copy of Callas pdfToolbox Server. But the flip book, comparison and other features are standard.

We created CreationFlow, an online approval tool. We offer free accounts and premium accounts from USD 24 / month.

We used Dalim Dialogue before we switched to Kodak and Insite. I believe it is a pretty pricey option.
