Hello community, I have a dude, how can I make this imposition?
I'm using preps 8.3

Joe

Are you wanting a template or a fold pattern?

hi Joe
I'm waiting a fold pattern

Joe

I'm not great with fold patterns but it looks like what is supplied with Preps there is not an existing fold pattern that will layout the pages in that configuration so I would start with one of the 64 page JDF fold patterns and get it in that orientation and then renumber the pages and save as a new custom fold pattern.

There's a lot of questions here ... but as a start I'd look at how P2 could face P3?
Honestly, go "old school" hit PRINT then try to fold it, over write the pages on this layout and update it then print it again to confirm it works.

I did it a few weeks back for a weird display carton my brain just couldn't grasp ... if it works, it works!

Looks like a giant skinny work & turn, not sure how this could possibly be folded as a single sheet.
The paper thickness would make the center spreads push out way too much.

It would definitely help if he explained what he is trying to create.

Yeah, looks like multiple signatures jammed together.

I should just let them go but...

Might be a "come and go" layout?

the only way I can see that working is as a work and tumble, gripped to either left or right side of sheet.

would then need each (section) cut to 8 pages along the thick black gutters and becomes a traditional 64 pg, 8 sections saddle stitch.

knowing the page size might also help a little, if they are A4 then I don't know of any press anywhere that could print that sheet
If you don't like my comment, ignore it. If you don't know how to ignore it, message me and I will be only too happy to demonstrate how.

Looks like it may be a cut and stack. Not sure if those are webs or signatures.

Where I worked we could do a 64 page double parallel press run...1 press run but it would deliver as 2 separate 32 page sections but our folders wouldn't work with that particle layout.

I came up with the attached, not a fold pattern, but sectioned.

hi Mr, what preps version are you using?
I could do it a similar imposition using preps 7.13 (2 year ago)
but on house printing use preps 9
