Quote from: AaronH on February 27, 2019, 03:04:54 PMThey've practically got police checkpoints here next to Idaho (I'm in Washington). I'm not into it though and its a little annoying especially since we found out a few weeks ago that my wife and I are expecting, since a couple of my neighbors seem to like the worst smelling stuff imaginable. Odd thing though is after the law was passed and it became "easier" to buy the stuff, our vehicle to pedestrian collisions have skyrocketed.

Are you in Spokane? I was just up there last July.

Congrats, AaronH!

A few years back I was in The Dalles in Oregon, and checked out a dispensary in Dallesport (I think, after looking at a map). I had to stop and check it out. First one ever. Cash only businesses.

Yep!
Interesting - I was born and raised in Spokane. Spent my first 50 years on the South hill before moving to Oklahoma. Cops used to park at State Line and nab drivers buying fireworks or cigarettes at State Line, Idaho.

I had to head up that way last year for my Uncle's funeral. I flew in to Spokane, and then rented a car and drove down 95 through Colfax. I usually go through Lewiston to get there (the town is Greencreek about 75 miles towards Montana from Lewiston/Clarkston), but I took a beer tour and went through Pullman and Moscow this time instead. No-Li in Spokane makes the greatest beer! I think next time I might fly in to Missoula for a change of scenery. It's the same 3 hour drive.

Man, if you want to take the thrill ride of your life, after leaving Moscow and going south on Hwy 95, take a right turn just past where the 95/195 junction is onto the Old Lewiston Grade (or the Spiral Highway). The views are incredible, the road is in very good shape and used to be the main road in and out of the valley from Lewiston/Clarkston. The 8 mile hwy drops 2,000 feet at a 6-8% grade and has some wicked hairpin turns that can make your knuckles white. Before they put in the new highway, there were stories of logging trucks and steel trucks launching off the side when they lost their brakes. Runaway truck lanes are numerous on the way down. There's some great YouTube videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFCopdKu9Rw

I've been on that road. Literally 100s of times.  And I was on the old road before it was upgraded (no pun intended). And the same goes for White Bird near Grangeville (which is where Desi and Lucy filmed the Long, Long Trailer).

Thanks! Yeah we have a funny feeling its going to be a girl. We have to wait till late April early May to find out though for sure. We have a feeling its a girl because when we were expecting last time, that ended up being a miscarriage, we got a bunch of boy stuff for free from friends.
