I know we have thousands and thousands of letterpress type blocks. I don't know whether the asiatic guy that runs the letter-press would be willing to give them up, though. I'll ask.

I started in letterpress and I've always been a font junkie.  Visiting friends in Antwerp, Belgium we went round the Plantin Museum.  Lots of interesting stuff about Christophe Plantin, but there was this one display which featured original matrices hand cut by Claude Garamond himself.  They looked brand new.  I had to sit down for a while.
