Fujifilm FLH-Z (G&J) Gum Pump Issues

Hello. The finisher pump on the processor won't run. Have a new one coming, checked all fuses. However, I am getting 120 on two legs at the point where the pump plugs in, even with no plate traveling through the machine. Seems like it would show nothing, and then voltage when the plate travels through.
Anyone been here before ? Thanx.

I had a finisher pump go out before had to install a new one.
you could check maybe the line is clogged, I run warm water through mine
every time I replace finisher.

One thing I don't get why does the processor want the finisher replaced every 20 days
that is ridiculous unless your running A LOT of plates
I cancel the warning all the time

On my old Agfa many years ago that happened to me, and it had something to do with the brushes in the electric motor. I know you checked fuses, and ours was spec'd at 3a (I believe) and the guy told me to put a 5a in it so it wouldn't be so fussy, and pop prematurely. They did end up sending me a new part that I installed, but it was physically a different size and I remember having to make a few minor adjustments to get it to fit so the facade cover would slide over it in the end. The new motor was brushless.

I second the clogged line. We had an airbubble get in the line, and our older guy accidentally closed the developer line so it was causing all kinds of issues. Got a new pump, cleared the lines and everything has been great so far. I believe ours is the FLH-Z as well.

If memory serves correctly we changed the gum every week without fail on our Fuji processor. It was part of a maintenance program I put together based on 750 40 inch plates per week. We did replace the gum pump every two years or so. It's not only "gummy", it's pretty corrosive as well.

When cleaning the processor, always backflush any jets where chemical is expelled. But ALWAYS have a catch bucket at the other end. That will severely reduce any clogs and prevent build up. Use HOT water.

OK, let me start over.

We had an event last week. Main breaker in the machine's cabinet was tripped. Had to reset to power up machine ...

Then the gum pump wouldn't work.

New gum pump installed - It's one of the spring-loaded types.

It's not running. Appears now to be a power issue.

Anyone been here ? Anyone know where fuse F13 is ?

If you take the side panel off (same side as gum pump) I believe there are one or two banks of fuses and plug in relays. There should be a manual that came with the processor that shows the location of F13.

Mines an older version - we determined that fuse doesn't exist. Later ones did. My control panel is on the top surface of the large electrical box, and both are on the opposite side from the finisher pump.

There may be a square shaped plugin relay at fault too. We used to have to replace them once in a while as well. One of my techs saved a faulty relay and used to plug it in to try and get a day off. That didn't last long.

Couldn't figure it out for a while til I began to suspect what was going on. I ended up marking the faulty relay with a Sharpie and caught her next time she used it to sabotage the processor.
