We've recently purchased FontFolio11 from Adobe.(all opentype)
We also have an older folio from 1995.(which we purchased way back)

So if our designers grab an old job and use the new opentype fonts
will we get reflow?
Anyone have experience with this?
I'm trying to stop this before it begins.
Because it feels good !

I'm guessing a definitive...probably. I'd be shocked I tell ya, if you don't see some reflow somewhere. IMO, you would be better off in the long run switching to the opentype and then fixing the reflow.

So far I haven't seen any major reflow problems using Opentype to replace Type one fonts. Truetype replacement with OT is an issue with some fonts tho, but nothing that can't be fixed, just gotta keep an eye out if you replace TT with OT fonts.

Surely it's even simpler than that? If the font isn't an issue you will definitely have reflow between versions of applications. For example, Illy 10, Illy CS, Illy CS 2 etc. And who knows what legacy files you may have...

I haven't even mentioned the Q word.

Keep an eye on it. You know it could happen anyway so add an hour to every job...
