Adobe Acrobat / Re: Remapping Patterns
February 01, 2008, 01:05:10 AM
Yes I think that will be it. But Ithink there is a plug-in in acrobat that could remap it. If I could remember it a prinect plug-in. I'll correct it when I had the right info. But so to everyone's knowledge there is a plug-in.

Thanks.

Pitstop 7.5 upgrade

Thanks for the info Joe. Need to get this one.

Hi,

Is there anyone who can help me find an update for pitstop?

Is it really 7.5 version now. Did it have 7.3, 7.4? I am using 7.2 right now.

Thanks

Tips & Tricks / Re: Logo Website

Quote from: doubting_thomas on September 20, 2007, 12:49:54 PMHere's a couple more that I've used when brandsoftheworld doesn't have what I need.

and for fun

If logo's are not available in the sites mentioned and brandsoftheworld.com just google it type ".pdf site:(site of the company)" without the quote, then just open the pdf and you got your vector logo. That is how I get logos that are not on the sites mentioned.

Tips & Tricks / Re: Adding Bleed to a pdf.
September 20, 2007, 09:23:36 PM
Got another trick but this time it involves Acrobat Pro 7, Pitstop 7, and Quite Imposing Plus 2.

If pdf has bleeds already, but it does not show. You need to go to Quite Imposing Plus and select Define Bleeds. Enter your desired amount of bleeds(usually 3-5 mm). After defining the bleeds create N-up Pages but only 1 x 1, and what paper size you want it to be on. Surprise! You now dont need to go to pitstop and painstakingly add bleeds to it. ;D

Adobe Acrobat / Tagged PDF
September 11, 2007, 03:28:30 PM
Hi guys,

I am working on this directory. In its document properties it says it is a tagged pdf. It is kind of a heavy file for just text, 17MB for a 300 pager text. I checked on the web about tagged pdf and found out that it stores info on elements in the pdf such as e-mail, websites, and the likes. Now does anyone know how to remove that tag in Acrobat itself. I have tried to print it to Postscript and distill it and the tag is removed and the file is downsized to 2.3MB, but I am not sure though if the file is the same as the original tagged pdf. Could anyone have light on this?

Thanks
