Quote from: G_Town on March 26, 2009, 12:03:29 PMOh that's fine just so long as someone pays for that blatant use of math.

There's no math in prepress

Actually none of the skills I apparently walked away with from High School apply to Prepress. It is actually an "ANTI-educational" vocation. The Sausage sitting across from me has a BA in Graphic Communication and did a 4 year stint in the Navy as a Communications Officer. Can't spell his own fucking name. I am genuis here compared to some of the stumps with degrees and the such... I like to rub it in, I'm a High-School Drop Out... pisses them off as they are making out checks for college tuition.

I spent all my time in Art class, so now you know.

No math in prepress? WTF prepress do you guys work in. I use my Mac calculator more than Adobe.

Speaking of Mac calculator....try this if you are running Leopard. Unhook your network cable so your Mac has no access to the internet. Now start your Mac calculator. Go for coffee and doughnuts. You have plenty of time if your Mac behaves as mine. It might even crash. I found this out this week during a major outage. So Mac calculator phones home upon startup?

Dot gain ehhhhhh? Whatever looks pretty around here.

I actually use math quite a bit. I have had to brush up on my English being on here. I feel like I now know several languages... Beer and the Capitan.. so all in all, for a HS drop out, not too bad.

I'm gonna pass on the calculator trick. I have a calculator I have been using since I started in Prepress, very sentimental.

They hear me snickering and laughing out loud and are afraid to come near me.

Man would prepress be boring without internet access... Couple guys got internet banned. One too many Russian Teen Porn sites visited... To their defense, they were pretty old school and didn't realize what they were doing when they downloaded a virus...

Tsk, Tsk... don't do the crime, if you can't do the time. Sammy Davis Jr. sung that!
