you have to separate some letters to break it down:

ps: postscript
pdf: portable document format 
ppd: printer something or other 
fx: flavour of pdf
hd: high definition like a 5k monitor 

I am thinking of adding a couple more to reflect what i am into now. How about pspdfppdfxhdcsvssd

And it worked well. These days you are 100% dependent on the manufacturers printer driver and I've run across many that are 100% crappola.

I selected the USB and it is installing it has not asked me to erase yet
i'm hoping it will ask me that I don't think I missed anything

It will not ask you. You have to go into Disk Utility before you start the install and initialize the hard drive. Right now it is installing over the top of Mojave.
