Quote from: DigiCorn on February 20, 2013, 01:47:41 PMThis is a Swann kit. I got a great deal on it. The DVR is network ready and it's all internet viewable through Swann software and apps. My homeowner's insurance rates dropped by about 10% with the cameras and DVR. As soon as I get off work, I'm going up in the attic to run cables.

He deals mostly with IP/ digital systems. Apparently Swann is analog - he said the resolution is really bad and they can be easily hacked and anyone can access them. Which is why I won't let him put any cameras in our house, I'm paranoid someone will hack it and be watching us. Although I was tempted after we hired the nanny, I wanted to be able to log-in during the day and see what she's doing.

My husband is a partner reseller for Mobotix cameras, no DVR needed and you can watch the feed live on your iphone. And that's about as much as I know about them, whereas he can talk to you for hours about security cameras

Seriously?! Congrats to him, even though I am somewhat afraid of being in the same boat in a few years as I am 31 and have a 12 year who could easily pass for 16

31? Damn kids get off my lawn.  :old:

:lmao: Between school & work I've still been in prepress for 10 years if that makes you feel better  :hangme:

That's why I save all versions of proofs. You can't win, even when you are right the first time.

oh no, this is something the boss asked me to tweak for his sister to make it look more "exclusive" but in the end she had me change it until it looked exactly like what she originally sent me (???)
Did you at least try to tie in my earlier suggestions?

:lmao:  No I kind of gave up, smile and nod, smile and nod, did exactly what she asked for and washed my hands of it

Quote from: Skryber on February 07, 2013, 02:48:06 PMThis is what I would do. I don't follow directions. Suck it, custy.

Looks good Skry, I was thinking something along the same lines too. Except this custy is the boss's sister so I have to play nice and make sure I give her exactly what she wants

Quote from: DCurry on February 07, 2013, 01:34:12 PMHere's my take:

I like the original logo. In your latest treatment, my problem is everything carries the same "weight", so my eye doesn't know where to go first. I would try to integrate the "featured spot" more with the logo so it's one cohesive unit, but decide whether the logo or "featured spot" should be the message and give it more prominence, either by size, color or both.

I also don't care for the 2 horizontal lines, and I don't understand why you introduced the blue in that one place only.

That's my problem too, I don't care for the horizontal lines at all, but it's on their biz cards & web site so I'm kind of stuck with it :(
