Title: Cool online folding site
Post by: scottrsimons on March 11, 2021, 02:23:39 PM
I was just introduced to a new tool. And I'm not pimping it. Just want to show you it, as I thought it was pretty darn cool, as I have not seen anything like it before.
This site allows you to upload your 2 page PDF and then you can tell it how it folds, and it will mimic it on screen. Pretty darn cool.
Here's a sample of one I did, I used their demo file and the way it folds is the way I wanted it to. http://gofoldit.com/demo/hnhhr0i8 (http://gofoldit.com/demo/hnhhr0i8)

Here is a link to the templates page to test. http://gofoldit.com/templates (http://gofoldit.com/templates) And also to the Instructions page. http://gofoldit.com/instructions (http://gofoldit.com/instructions)
But beyond that, I don't know how to setup an account to actually use the site, as it was setup for me by someone else. I am in touch with the developer, so I will get some more info from him.

There's something patently unfriendly about setting up the folds. Maybe it's just me but it could benefit form much clearer instructions.

Cool effect though, I could see it being super useful.

At the moment I'm continuing to build the app out as I come up with ideas or get requests, and since its really only me I have no idea about timeline.
