For Sale: to a good (or BAD) home....

HP5500 Designjet 42" (Q1251A) Wide Format Plotter w/DoubleProof attachment.

This is a 6c plotter using HP DYE based inks.
It was used as a double-sided imposition plotter and used a network interface with a Rampage RPD for a controller. The Rampage component is NOT for sale.

This unit comes with DoubleProof software and a Dongle for using with other workflows (the software and dongle were NEVER installed or used as it wasn't needed for the Rampage RPD configuration)

This Plotter is in working condition and includes these supplies:
-Current loaded inks (680ml cartridges) at about 50% remaining.
-Also, have new OEM 680ml tanks for C,Lc, Y, K, 2 Magentas and a new C printhead and cleaner.
-1 Extra Spool - 42" with 2" and 3" core adaptors
-Semi used maintenance kit.
-Plotter specs at : http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF06b/18972-18972-3328061-12600-3328080-82218-82220-82221.html

The Flipper Unit (DoubleProof Attachment) is also in working condition, but unreliable when it comes to auto-loading paper in a production environment. (it works, but need attention)

Looking for $1500 PLUS shipping costs (from Ohio) to your facility. (for EVERYTHING!)

BTW - (--Lowest OEM retail - Amazon.com -  for the 6 new inks and printhead alone is $1050!--)

If interested, please PM me for additional questions/details.

How many impressions on the current head? We're really looking more for a wide format solvent based plotter.
"There's been a lot of research recently on how hard it is to dislodge an impression once it's been implanted in someone's mind. (This is why political attack ads don't have to be true to be effective. The other side can point out their inaccuracies, but the voter's mind privileges the memory of the original accusation, which was juicier than any counterargument ever could be.)"

Good luck with this. I put both of our Canon 44" printers on numerous places online including craigslist. Not one inquiry. I don't think I could give them away just for the shipping costs. So they sit. Ink drying in them until one day in about 7 years they will put them in the dumpster. Maybe.
